Midnight generator beach show in Iowa City with more to come over the summer I’m guessing. Slut River, Nerv, Los Voltage, and Solid Attitude all played short sets.
Brash guitar slashing, sneery vox, liiiiiinger on vooooowels,
the singer’s father was a crow and his mother was a bad
phone connection… Songs come in two speeds “fast” and
“that’s not fast enough”. At 45 RPM, these 11 tracks fly by
like yer wasted youth. I was cool with “(Cool) with Me”
when it was called “What Does PCP Feel Like?”, it really
shines here. “Volume” has a skippy little guitar line.Comes to us courtesy of Rotted Tooth, so you know it’sgot that raw rock flavor that leaves your gums bleeding.Lead singer Mickey Shaw’s voice makes you curious tosee him on stage. Honestly, I dug this release enoughto brave the sonic sewers of myspace to check out thisbands’ alter ego as a synth punk blitz on the fritz, andwe may need to get some Viking Fuck rolling here at KFJCsoon.
