I accidentally double exposed a roll of film. Mostly a combination of the 4th of July and the recent Nerv tour. Some of them came out interesting but mostly I’m disappointed that I lost a lot of photos I was really excited about.
Nerv - Redact / Wonderful Life / Life? / Tough Call / Corrected (guitar amp blows) / Try Hard / Shut-In / Can’t Help It / Here’s the Deal
Live at the Dope Chapel, Norman, OK 8/20/2014
Some of my best friends I’ve met through music live in Oklahoma, so playing there is always great. This video is our full set and edits out time between songs and its only 9:30, which is kind of stupid short. 9 songs is a typical set length so I guess we typically play about 10 minutes. It feels like a long time when it’s happening.
Nerv - Big Idea / Life? / Homecoming
Live at the Alf House, Vancover BC, Canada 8/8/2014
We played in the backyard of western Canada’s longest running punk house. Someone talked to me after the show who told me that their friend brought back our 7” after seeing us at Chaos in Tejas and that it had been her favorite record all year. She told me how happy she was that we played at her house and that really meant a lot to me.
Nerv - Redact
Live at Zack’s Coffee, Kamloops BC, Canada 8-6-2014
This was Nerv’s first show in Canada and my first time in Canada. The video is really dark so the preview image is about the most you can gather. A month before our tour new exceptions for bands traveling to Canada made it a lot easier to play there than it used to. Its crazy that the guy that booked this show invited us to play Kamloops after seeing us play a year before in Austin at a Chaos in Tejas house show.
Nerv - Here’s the Deal / It’s a Wonderful Life
Live at Dead Canary Records, Wichita KS 7/31/2014
You see three different people watching and that was about half of the crowd at this show. It’s one of the smallest record stores I’ve been in, let alone played a set in.
